• Justin is such an amazing and patient teacher! I had a bad experience with my previous instructor, and in my first lesson with Justin I was immediately put at ease. I had only a few weeks to get ready for my test, as I was converting my US American license to a UK license. Justin was great at explaining the UK road system (especially roundabouts) and gave me the confidence to pass my test on my very first try! Worth every penny.

  Justin is an excellent teacher! After bad experiences trying to learn to drive manual with other instructors, I had given up all hope of ever being able to drive. I reached a point where I thoroughly hated it and felt anxious at the thought of getting in the driver’s seat, but I decided to have one last go learning in an automatic. I was so nervous about my first lesson as my confidence was at rock bottom. Justin put me at ease as soon as I met him and by the end of that first lesson I had rediscovered my love of driving and enough confidence in my ability that a couple of days later I exchanged the manual car I’d bought (but barely driven) for an automatic that I drove every single opportunity I got between lessons. Justin’s infinite patience, constant encouragement, honesty and easy going nature made each lesson something to look forward to. It was a genuine pleasure to drive with him. Whenever I made a mistake, and there were a fair few (some repeatedly!) Justin never shouted or made me feel stupid, he would tell me not to worry, explain clearly what I’d done wrong and how to correct it. With my previous instructors I found myself crying after some lessons, with Justin even when I had what I thought was a bad lesson (bad on my part never his) I always went home with a smile. I passed my test yesterday on my second attempt and I could not have done it without him! Justin has helped me to achieve something I never thought I would and in the near future I will be going back to him to do the Pass Plus and to even have a go at manual driving again! I also want to mention Justin’s wife Elaine. She has been invaluable, booking the lessons, sending reminders, keeping me updated about lessons/tests throughout the lockdowns, and wishing me good luck and giving me some very helpful tips on the morning of my test. They make a great team and are both very lovely people! I can’t recommend highly enough!!!

  I had lessons with Justin for 5 months learning in an automatic car. I found him to be very good, patient & understanding. Everything you could wish for in a driving instructor & believe me I have had a few. Not having driven in over 10 years I decided to try again. I met Justin & he instantly put me at ease. My lessons became a pleasure, something to look forward to. I no longer dreaded them as I had with previous instructors. He convinced me I could do it, built my confidence no end, even with missing months of lessons due to lockdown & a couple of weeks for his honeymoon, Congratulations, they’re a great couple. His wife Elaine books your lessons & sends you those useful reminders !! Thanks Elaine. Today I passed !! I am over the moon. Highly recommend !!!!!!

  when i booked my lessons i was so worried of getting everything wrong, i met Justin and can honestly say you will never get a better driving instructor he made me feel so calm he is a lovely, makes your learning to drive experience so much easier with him being so friendly i passed my test first time couldn't of done it with out him xxx

  Justin is an honest and humours instructor who made the whole process of learning to drive an enjoyable experience. He is excellent at explaining the rules of the road, while demonstrating and guiding you through the manoeuvres you'll need to pass your test!   Justin is very kind and honest Instructor...he's also very patient...and never make me feel silly while i was learning with him..his teaching techniques are very helpful...he gave me alot of confidence and help me do all the manoeuvre that i thought would never be able to do...he made driving seem very easy and simple...he's the only Instructor i learnt from start till i passed my test...never felt like i needed to go somewhere else....thank u justin and Elaine for all the help...

  I can hand on heart, hounestly say that justin has to be the best driving instructor in derby . By far one of the most patient and kind individual that I have met. Justin is excellent at explaining things , he takes his time and never makes me feel stupid or incompetent unlike other instructors iv had. Justin filled me with the upmost confidence in my abilities and helped me persevere to passing my test. Cant thank or reccomend him enough

  I would highly recommend Justin. He is such a patient and understanding instructor. I have had lesson in the past, but also lessons leading up to me taking lessons with Justin, where I’ve had instructors who have shouted if you get things wrong or try to over take your lesson. I wouldn’t say I was confident before, but thanks to all Justin’s support, I feel I was able to pass my exam not problem. The best part about lessons with Justin, not only can you have a laugh, but if your struggling in any area of driving or are unsure, he will actually take the time to show you over and over and over till you feel happy or reassured you can do it yourself. He never puts you down for getting things wrong, which really helped me out, so over all I would definitely recommend Justin’s to anyone I know as he is a top instructor from my point of view. Plus if I didn’t have him as an instructor I’d never have been able to pass I believe.
